60 years of GRAF

Otto Graf GmbH celebrates its 60th anniversary.

Opening of the factory in Neuried

On July 18, we opened our factory in Neuried (Ortenaukreis). The production facility and logistics center will employ around 80 people in the future. Neuried is our fourth location in the region and is conveniently situated between Teningen, the Competence Center Raw Materials in Herbolzheim and the factory in Dachstein (Alsace). This will enable us to save more than 2,000 truck trips per year.

2020

GRAF Ireland Environmental Ltd.

In recent years, GRAF has continuously expanded its international sales activities. In order to be even more efficiently positioned in Ireland in the future and to further expand its leading position in the field of stormwater management, GRAF Ireland Environmental Ltd. was founded on January 01, 2020. The company is based in Milltown near Galway.

Take over of Wilken Plastics Energy GmbH

GRAF takes over 49% of Wilken Plastics Energy GmbH and thereby expands its commitment in the field of recycling raw materials by a further step.

2018

Opening of the GRAF Competence Center Raw Materials in Herbolzheim

Investments exceeding €30m will give rise in Herbolzheim to the Graf Kompetenzzentrum Rohstoffe. On 6.5 hectares of land, the new building will cover about 24,000 m2 and have twelve raw material silos, each 30 m high. There, Graf will be converting secondary resources of plastic into high quality re-granulate.

2017

GRAF Polska

The Graf Group, Teningen, is taking over the company Sotralentz in Skierniewice, Poland. The company will operate under the name Graf Polska. This takeover sees the Graf Group extending its expertise for local wastewater disposal and consolidating its market positioning as the leading provider of water management systems in Europe.

2016

GRAF China Co., Ltd.

Graf China Co., Ltd., the Chinese subsidiary was founded on 1. December 2016, in order to expand the market presence of Graf and also to strengthen its leading position in the range of Water Management

2015

Range extension: horticultural materials

The GARANTIA garden board lays the foundation for a new range of products in the field of garden building materials. 

2014

Take over of Klaro GmbH

After more than 10 years of intensive cooperation, Otto Graf GmbH takes over their long standing technology partner in the area of decentralized sewage, Klaro GmbH.

GRAF UK Ltd

Graf UK Ltd was established with the acquisition of the English company SCP Water Management Ltd who are now another member of the Graf group.

2013

1st place once more

GRAF receives first prize from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology for the project "Developing welding technologies for large-volume plastic containers".

2012

50 years of GRAF

Otto Graf GmbH celebrates its 50th anniversary.

2011

Commissioning of two latest generation rotary presses

At the Dachstein plant, we invested in two rotary machines of the latest generation. These completely automated machines set new benchmarks for quality and energy efficiency. Further investments in a new silo plant and three injection moulding machines were made at the Teningen plant.

2010

Innovation Award of Baden-Württemberg

1st place: Otto Graf GmbH was awarded the Baden-Württemberg regional innovation prize.

2009

Own raw material recycling at GRAF

Sustainability starts with the use of raw materials. This is why GRAF has invested in its own raw material recycling process.

2008

Start of blow molding production in Teningen

Renewed expansion of capacity at the Teningen plant through the incorporation of blow-moulding production facilities. The production area is extended by a further 6,000 square metres. The investment volume amounts to €8 million.

Australia & United Kingdom

Sales branches in Australia and the United Kingdom are founded.

2007

The launch of the Carat S

The launch of the Carat S underground tank lays the foundations for the expansion of global export activities.

Sales branch in Spain

A sales branch in Spain is founded.

2006

Expansion of the production site in Teningen

Construction of a second, brand-new production site in Teningen. Around €20 million is invested in the expansion of production and logistics facilities over an area of 155,000 square metres. The new plant, with a surface area of 13,500 square metres, is home to one of the world's most modern manufacturing facilities for plastic products.

2002

Range extension: decorative rainwater collectors

With its column tank, GRAF opens up the segment of decorative rainwater collectors - which is now an important range at GRAF.

2001

Expansion of injection moulding production

Expansion of injection moulding production to include a further three large-scale machines.

Range extension: biological wastewater treatment systems

GRAF expands its range to include completely biological wastewater treatment systems, thus founding its now very successful wastewater disposal range.

1998

Range extension: rainwater infiltration and retention 

The first generation of GRAF percolation blocks lays the foundations for the rainwater infiltration and retention range.

1997

Herkules tank

The Herkules tank revolutionises tank logistics. Its two halves fit together using a patented system.

Injection molding with three large machines

In Dachstein (France), a record investment is made in our own injection moulding production facilities with three large-scale machines.

1996

Otto P. Graf as additional managing director

Otto P. Graf, the son of the company's founder, joined GRAF as an additional managing director.

1990

Commissioning of the largest rotary press in Europe

Rotational moulding production facilities in France are significantly expanded with the commissioning of what was then the largest rotary machine in Europe.

1982

Range extension: composter

Launch of the first GRAF composter. Over 4 million composters are now used around the world.

1978

Range extension: plastic underground rainwater tanks

With the market launch of plastic underground rainwater tanks, GRAF opens up a completely new product segment.

Relocation of the French subsidiary to the Dachstein location

The French subsidiary, GRAF S.A.R.L., moves to its current location in Dachstein, Alsace, and starts rotational moulding production in the same year.

1974

Range extension: water butts

The market launch of the first GRAF water butts lays the foundations for what is now the company's most important product segment: rainwater harvesting.

1970

Foundation of the GRAF S.A.R.L. sales office

A new sales branch, GRAF S.A.R.L., is founded in France (Sigolsheim).

1962

Foundation of Otto Graf GmbH

Otto F. Graf and Elfriede Graf found Otto Graf GmbH. To begin with, they sold plastic containers and drums for fruit and wine growing as well as for industrial applications.
